Sorry I don’t update this site as often as I would like. I end of shooting several events week, then I edit and submit for the paper. Then I edit for Facebook. Then I try to post some pics for RinnPhoto. So…I end up neglecting this site. I’ll try to post one or two pics that I really like over here. I end up submitting a bunch of photos to the paper and they just don’t have the space to run them. Sometimes, many times, I have pictures that just don’t look good in newsprint. That is what I will try to post here. So…here’s a couple from last weeks games.
Here’s a few…
westwood wins in four
The 17th ranked Georgetown Lady Eagle volleyball team visited #3 Westwood on Tuesday night and played four exciting games. Unfortunately Westwood prevailed 3-1. Georgetown and their fans came out fired up and the Lady Eagles won game one 27-25 despite some service errors that could have ended it earlier. The next two games could have gone either way, but Westwood edged GHS in games two and three and went on to doiminate the 4th game.
You need to go see this match. The Lady Eagles are having a great season and will match up against the #3 team in the state Tuesday night at Westwood. The Lady Warriors are a perennial power and have a solid team again this year. The fan turnout at GHS home games has been great this season so it would be nice to have a vocal majority in the Westwood gym to support the Lady Eagles.
Rainy Road trip no fun.
The Georgetown Eagles and a small group of loyal fans made the road trip to Seguin Friday night only to endure a first half of rain and then see their team come home empty handed.
Georgetown totaled over 400 yards of offense Friday night, but the Seguin Matadors ran and threw for almost 600 yards and handed the Eagles their second straight loss 41-20.
Pretty impressive showing. A 3 set sweep and it wasn’t really that close. The fans kept it entertaining though.

The fans can make a 3-0 sweep entertaining. I haven't seen this cheer before, but it was pretty creative.
If you don’t make it to Seguin for the football game on Friday make the drive to Liberty Hill for volleyball.
The Georgetown Eagles opened their 2009 football season Friday night at Birkelbach field by taking on San Antonio Soutwest. This is the second year that the Eagles met the Dragon’s. Last year Georgetown picked up the win in the Alamodome in San Antonio.
